At first, Violet seems devoid of emotions, almost like a robot. It’s kinda creepy at first. But then you find out she was basically a child soldier, and that’s messed up.
The whole “I love you” thing from the Major, That destroyed me. Poor Violet’s sitting there like it’s some kinda military order she can’t figure out. That was so heartbreaking.
But then she becomes a Auto Memories Doll and starts writing letters for people. Some of these stories are too emotional.
The way Violet slowly starts to get emotions is so well done. It’s not like she just wakes up one day and is suddenly all touchy-feely. It’s a gradual thing, where each letter and each person she meets and learn about true emotions.
Her past was intense, especially when she realized all at once that she had killed people and that the person she cared about most was gone.
But in the end, Violet finally understands love and uses her experiences to help others. This show is truly extraordinary. It’s about war and peace, love and loss, and finding yourself when you don’t even know who you are.
Many of us are walking around not really understanding our emotions or the people around us, Violet’s journey harder than I expected.
If you haven’t watched it, you can just try, it’s totally worth watching. You will never get bored, every episode is good. Just make sure you’ve a box of tissues, because every episode is so emotional.
