Saitama is a fascinating character who looks like he isn’t much other than brawn but when you look deeply, his oblivious attitude toward love interests raises questions about his personal life. We all who’ve seen OPM know how Saitama was at an early age when he was looking for a job. Then, he got inspired and trained to overcome his limit. Perhaps before training, Saitama was more like a normal person. But now, as far as we know, during training, Saitama changed a lot, mentally and physically. He stopped caring about many things at the end of his training. And in the process, he became disinterested in people in general if they didn’t serve a certain purpose to him. He was never quite awkward around people, as certain people may claim.
He is famous for his aloof, carefree, and uninterested personality other than his infamous strength. But Saitama is actually one of the most morally upright heroes in the whole story. He is simple, and he knows how to see things, usually when weirdness has become the currency of the world, and it’s very fun to see him grow. However, no one can say for sure what the future holds for this particular hero. So, we have no way of knowing if Saitama’s personality will change.
Saitama is very lazy, and we can see that throughout the whole series. His arriving late at the crime scenes has become a new signature move of his. But that is not the discussion. Because of Saitama’s lazy nature. He might be too declined to get into a relationship or even be interested in someone, as the only thing he may want is his own zone without any inconveniences or anyone who may interrupt it. That is one of the reasons Saitama didn’t want to keep genos around him but finally, it was concluded that genos meet almost all the criteria other than being annoying. So, because of Genos’s persistence, Saitama kept him around.
Despite often appearing unintelligent, Saitama is far smarter than he seems and highly protective of his personal space, allowing only Genos into his comfort zone. Genos has become somewhat like a younger brother or someone Saitama looks out for.
