In the previous episode, Sensei, Annette, and Nir were arrested. In this episode, they are taken in front of the king, Minister Briyard suggests that they should be executed, which excites Sensei. However, when Annatte asks for the reason, the king accuses them of kidnapping the princess. They are shocked because they don’t even know who the princess is.

Then, Tama arrives and reveals that she is actually the princess—Princess Matilda of the Kingdom of Grun. She clarifies to her father that she was not kidnapped; she was simply visiting various nations to improve her martial skills and met them during her travels. She also asks her father to release them. The king agrees, but only if she promises to obey him, swearing that she will never act foolishly and will behave in a manner befitting royalty, like her mother. She accepts her father’s conditions, and the king releases them.

Later, they were eating, the group discusses Tama’s true identity. When a server named Fawne overhears them talking about Matilda, she asks if they know her, explaining that she used to serve as Princess Matilda’s lady-in-waiting at the palace. Fawne inquires if they are Matilda’s friends, to which Nir responds that they were traveling together until the previous day.

Sensei deduces that Fawne must know what happened between the king and Matild. He want to know about their past from Fawne. She reveals that Princess Matilda had a twin brother named Leon, who was the prince set to inherit the throne of Grun. The nation believed that with these two, peace in Grun would be everlasting until the night of the storm ten years ago. On their way back to the castle, Prince Leon and Queen Lapama suddenly died. The king grieved deeply and was in low spirits for a long time. To ease her father’s mind, Matilda decided to take Leon’s place, but despite her efforts, a deep rift formed between them. Meanwhile, another worlder named Kaibara appears in Grun. He seeks to devour demi-women and children. Kaibara, one of the worlders who killed the Dark Lord, intends to consume the entire nation. He possesses a disturbing ability to devour people and absorb their powers. The king fights Kaibara, but when Princess Matilda intervenes to help, she is attacked. The king saves her but loses his arm in the process. Enraged, Matilda attempts to fight Kaibara again, but Minister Briyard knocks her unconscious and takes her to Fawne’s place, where Sensei, Annette, and Nir are about to leave.

Kaibara captures the king and declares himself the new ruler. He states his intent to taste the flesh of all the demi varieties living there, focusing on women and children. He says, men can continue working as usual. But when a man opposes him, Kaibara devours him, warning that anyone who defies him will meet the same fate. Terrified, the citizens begin to flee, but Kaibara stations monsters, who once served the Dark Lord.

When Tama wakes up, she learns that Kaibara has captured the royal capital and is threatening to devour the citizens. She wants to go and defeat him, but everyone stops her. Annette tells her that if the nation loses her now, the people will lose hope, and she must not put herself in danger as the princess.

Sensei, Annette, Nir, and Melos go to confront Kaibara, but they are stopped by two gatekeepers ordered to kill anyone who approaches. Sensei steps forward, claiming they’ve come to be eaten.

We know his dark humor and fascination with death. Sensei expresses how moved he was by the king’s earlier speech and shares that he constantly thinks about death, but it never occurred to him to be eaten to death until now. He asks the gatekeepers to inform the new king that someone who wants to be eaten has come to the castle. Sensei also inquires if the new king, who seems to prefer demi-humans, would eat a human as well.

The gatekeepers, confused, take them to the prison. Meanwhile, Princess Matilda escapes, and when the gatekeepers inform Kaibara that a human wants to be eaten, the princess attacks them.
