The wait is over, the first episode of “Oshi no ko” season 2 has finally come out with its banger. As we all know, in season 1 we got to see many plots and as some of us don’t read Manga (I’m one of them). For those people I’m giving an honest review on the first episode. At first the opening got me really confused as we could see many new other characters. But the animation told me otherwise. The animation is totally outstanding and even better than before.
The details and colourings are literally so beautiful. Dogo Kono did an amazing job for the animation which for sure left the audience speechless once again.
In the first episode, we could see that there’s a competition going on between Kana Arima and Akane Kurokawa to win over the main character Aqua Hoshino I suppose. Kana Arima seems to be trying her best to get along with her fellow cast but it’s quite the opposite for Akane Kurokawa. The episode starts with a full cast observing Tokyo Blade’s 2.5D stage play. It is the live-action adaptation of a famed action manga that is set around samurai in the Edo period of Japan. Though Aqua will not be playing the lead here, he still has a vital role to play where he will be the love interest of Saya Home, played by Akane and Tsurugi played by Kana.
And Kana and Taiki seemed to be performing together. Although Akane’s not thrilled with Saya’s character’s direction, she’s grown fond of the character she’s portraying. Every character did a great job playing their roles.
But unfortunately at the end, Abika wanted to reverse the whole script. Which made everyone kinda disappointed. And that’s how the episode ends with suspens on what might happen in the next episode.
Overall for me, Dogo Kono did not disappoint us with the first episode. From the visuals to the excellent story written by Aka Akasaka everything was on point and we cannot forget about the opening and the soundtrack. It basically blew my mind. I cannot wait for the upcoming episodes and what might happen in the next episode. The first episode left us curious. I wonder how intense the next episodes will be. Stay tuned for it!
