Recap
When Will and Sion were kids, Sion often saw Will being bullied. In an attempt to help, Sion offered to make Will one of his underlings, hoping to ease his suffering. But, Will ignores Sion’s offer and tells him to get out of his way. He offended Sion by just only ignoring him. But in reality, Will was dealing with his own struggles and was focused on his goals, preferring solitude at that time.
In the previous episode, we saw Sion attacking Will, even though they’re on the same team. This episode shows their intense battle. While Will wasn’t attacking Sion, he was forced to defend himself from Sion’s relentless attacks. Sion was determined to make Will fight back.
Meanwhile, Colette faces off against Julius, who uses a blast to trigger a trap, causing Colette to fall into it. What’s strange is that Julius seems to be everywhere—one version of him appears before Emma Klever, a sixth-year student at Garden Magical Academy, another confronts Colette, and yet another faces Wignall Lindor. Julius has created different versions of him by magic, he tricks every team into believing they’re facing him. However, Wignall Lindor eventually breaks the magic.
Back to the fight between Sion and Will, Sion summons a Halcon Gardinas, a falcon made of flames, to attack Will. But Will is saying there’s no need for them to fight, but Sion, still fueled by resentment, challenges him to acknowledge the humiliation he endured. Will admits he does resent Sion and has often imagined getting back at him, but now, his priority is defeating Julius.
Sion, frustrated by Will’s refusal to focus on him, unleashes his anger, accusing Will of ignoring him and refusing to acknowledge his presence. Will realizes that Sion has been seeking his acknowledgment all along and, accepting the challenge, decides to fight with everything he has. He slices through the guardian’s core, and the battle between them intensifies. However, Colette arrives just in time to stop the fight, when they ask about Julius, she says that Julius has disappeared. She urges Will to continue and settle his score with Julius. Will apologizes to Sion and promises a real fight next time before heading off.
After overcoming numerous obstacles, Julius’s squad is the first to appear in the stadium. Mike Maius remarks that there’s no one left to stop Julius, but just then, Will arrives, shocking everyone, and challenges Julius.
Review
In this episode, we get to know why Sion harbors such hatred towards Will. While I was hoping to see the fight between Will and Julius in this episode, it seems we’ll have to wait for the next episode. But still, this episode wasn’t boring at all, it features plenty of action and reveals more about Sion’s character. Overall, the episode was great, it maintained the quality while cutting costs in unnecessary scenes.
