At the beginning of this episode, it shows that Will is also a part-time working student who delivers newspapers. While delivering the papers, he saw an article that the upper institution had passed down an order to the entire academy, and the client was his childhood friend Elfaria herself, which mademade him excited,, and he he followedfollowed the order given by Elfaria. The order is to collect Frost Walker ice cores. The target is on the fourth floor. After he goes there, he spots a girl getting attacked by the monsters. Here we met another interesting character, 14 years old, named Iris Churchill. She even had the opportunity to meet the lady Elfaria.
As he finished them off, the girl was astonished because he used a sword instead of magic.
While they were chit-chatting, Will sensed a powerful monster’s appearance. Then, out of nowhere, a Frost Rex appeared, which was even stronger and more powerful. Killing this monster is worth six credits because it’s the highest form of Frost Walker. Also, another part is that physical attacks don’t work on this monster, but Will worked smart and defeated that monster. In the end, it reveals that the girl Iris was sent by the Magia Vander to find someone useful. She recommended a position in the tower for Will Serfort.
The ending was actually quite unexpected and got me fooled into thinking that’s the girl’s real identity. What I think is she’s most definitely not fourteen after I hear her speaking in her inner, deep, mature voice. I’m looking forward to knowing more about this character in the next upcoming episode. As far as I’ve watched this episode, I’m most definitely not disappointed, and they’re doing wonderful work on the story and the animation.
And most importantly, the OST has got to be my favorite. Yuki Hayashi is going crazy with the soundtracks. I absolutely love the soundtrack.
Some of the scenes were funny, like when Will flew up with Iris to save her. Though, I love the main character’s confidence and also that he believes in his own abilities. There are a lot of scenes that were shown in this episode that will leave you stunned, such as the fighting scenes and the scenes where Coletta was embarrassed, which were absolutely adorable. It also shows how thoughtful she is for her friend. Also, it seems like Lady Elfaria is madly in love with Will. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more about these two.
If you haven’t watched this episode yet, I would highly recommend you watch it. They have already shown such good fighting scenes, so my expectations rose even more. I cannot wait for the upcoming twists and bigger fights. I know we’re just getting started, but there will be a lot more to see, so take your seat and hold onto it.
